The 2010 14U Lightning team is led by returning coach Steve Cook. Steve Cook brings many years of experience to the Thunder and Lightning Program. He has coached and administered in the recreation softball program with the Bellingham Girls Softball Association. His Travel A level experience includes a head coaching stint with the New England Rip Tide, where he won the 2007 ASA Mass State Championship. In 2008, Steve led the 12U Strikezone Shock. In 2009, Steve brought the ASA State Championship to the 12U Central Mass Lightning team.
The 2010 16U Thunder is led by returning coach Tim Eastwood. Tim brings over 8 years of youth softball coaching experience, which include coaching in the Franklin Girls Softball summer travel and Danger softball programs. In 2008, Tim coached Travel (A) Softball as a head coach for the Danger 14U softball program.
The 2010 18U Thunder consists of players who have a desire to showcase their skills in front of college coaches. The Team is led by returning Coach, Mark Hernandez. Coach Hernandez is a former softball instructor at RBI Academy, Foxboro, MA. He is also a former Head Coach at Nobles and Greenough High School, assistant coach for Division II Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, MI., and Head Varsity softball Coach at St. Mary's Catholic Central High School in Monroe, Michigan. Since 1993, Coach Hernandez has also held various coaching positions with Travel Softball teams with the Monroe Generals 16U and 18U Program as well as our Thunder & Lightning Fastpitch Program.
