The 12U Thunder team for the 2012 season is lead by Rich Piergustavo.  Rich lives in Milford. Rich is an experienced professional educator / teacher and is currently the Athletic Director of Milford High School.  He has coached baseball at the High School, Collegiate, and elite club level and is a former director of the Baseball / Softball Coaches Academy of Ashland, Mass.  His most recent softball coaching stint was with the Milford Youth Softball program where he led a 12U fastpitch travel team.   The 12U team is designed for aspiring softball stars that have decided that year-round commitment to the game is exciting and worthwhile.

The 14U Thunder team for the 2012 season is lead by returning coach Mark Homer.  Mark lives in Mansfield.  Mark has extensive youth coaching experience, with impressive decade-long successes as a hockey coach with Nobles and Greenough School, Foxboro High School, as well as the PRO/AM Hockey League.  He currently is the head hockey coach at Taunton High.  He coached for over 10 years in the Mansfield Youth Baseball League.  Recently he has coached and administered within the Mansfield Youth Softball association, and last year coached our 12U Thunder fastpitch team.  The 14U team is dedicated to transition young talented players into dynamic softball athletes who will compete in high school and beyond.


The 16U Thunder team for the 2012 season is led by returning coach Noreen Arpin. Noreen lives in Uxbridge.  She brings many years of both playing and coaching experience to the program.  She was a standout high school athlete at Northbridge High School and a 4-year collegiate softball starting player with American International College in Springfield, MA.   She exhibits particular acumen in developing catchers and pitchers.  Her coaching stints include JV coach at Northbridge High School, and travel team coach with the Uxbridge Flames and the Uxbridge Utes.  Noreen was an assistant coach for the 2010 14U Central Mass Thunder, and led the 2011 16U Thunder team. The 16U team will be composed of accomplished athletes that wish to excel against same-aged peers and push their development to higher levels by competing in some 18U events (including showcases) .  16U Thunder girls fill JV and Varsity softball rosters and many will play in college.

The 18U Thunder Showcase team for the 2012 season is led by returning coach Mark Hernandez.  Mark lives in Milford.  Coach Hernandez had a successful stint as a minor league professional baseball player before starting his coaching career.  He is a former softball instructor at RBI Academy, Foxboro, MA. He is also a former head coach at Nobles and Greenough High School, assistant coach for Division II Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, MI., and head varsity softball coach at St. Mary's Catholic Central High School in Monroe, Michigan. Mark is a recurring instructor at several indoor fastpitch facilities in the area and runs clinics for multiple ages throughout the year.  Mark has helped place dozens of scholar athletes into college. Mark currently serves as the varsity softball coach at Needham High School.  He returns for his 11th year as coach of the 18U showcase team.  The 18U team will consist of players who have a desire and commitment to compete at the highest level and are ready to demonstrate their talents in front of college coaches at showcase events throughout the Northeast.
